Built in Pune

Who is asking for your trust?

You are being asked to put children’s names, photographs and health notes into software made by people you have not met. The least we can do is say plainly who we are and how far this has actually got.

The company

This platform is built and operated by TantraDev Information Technologies LLP, a limited liability partnership registered in Pune, Maharashtra. TantraDev is a software engineering firm — custom development, SaaS platforms and enterprise systems — and this product grew out of that work.

Where the product has actually got to

The platform is built and runs end to end — admissions through to progress cards, across multiple branches — but it is pre-launch. We do not have paying schools yet, and you will not find customer counts, logos or testimonials anywhere on this site, because inventing them would be the fastest way to lose the trust this page is asking for.

What that means for you: you would be an early school. You would get direct access to the people who build it and real influence over what gets built next. You would also be taking a chance on a young product, and you should price that in. If you need a vendor with a decade of references, we are not that today.

Four decisions worth knowing about

You can judge a young product by the choices behind it more usefully than by its feature list.

  • Isolation in the database, not just the code

The most damaging thing a multi-school platform can do is show one school another school's children. We put that boundary in the database itself, with a rule that returns nothing when the school context is missing rather than everything. It is slower to build that way and it is the right place for it.

  • One price, everything included

We did not put the safety and compliance features in a higher tier. A preschool paying the least still gets the consent ledger, the incident register and role-based access. Charging extra for the parts that protect children is not a pricing strategy we were willing to run.

  • We record money, we do not hold it

The platform issues GST-ready invoices with gap-free legal numbering and records what has been paid. It does not process card payments and there is no payment gateway. Fees stay between the school and its parents, which keeps us out of a regulated position we are not ready for.

  • Built to the Indian calendar and rulebook first

April-to-March academic years, GST on invoices, NCF-2022 progress cards and DPDP consent were designed in from the start rather than bolted onto a product built for somewhere else. It is the difference between software that fits and software you work around.

Come and pick holes in it

The most useful conversation we can have is with someone who runs a preschool and is willing to tell us where this would not work.
