Our GSTIN begins 27 (Maharashtra), so a Maharashtra school gets an intra-state invoice with CGST and SGST at nine per cent each. A school registered outside the state gets IGST at eighteen. The total is the same eighteen per cent on top of your plan price either way. Whether you can claim any of it back depends on your own registration and your exempt supplies — that is a question for your CA.

Is the app available in Marathi?

The software is in English today, for staff and parents alike, and we are not going to list a Marathi interface we have not built. Demos, training and support conversations happen in Marathi, Hindi or English, whichever your team is most comfortable with.

Can parents pay fees through the app by UPI?

No. There is no payment gateway and no online collection of any kind. Fees issues GST-ready invoices, records the payments you have already taken in cash, cheque or bank transfer, and shows parents their dues and invoices in the app. The money moves between you and your parents; we keep the record of it.

If you have been searching for preschool software in Pune, you have probably read the same page four times: a national product with the city name dropped into the headline, and nothing underneath it that a school in Wakad would recognise. This is not that page, largely because we could not write it if we tried. Our office is in Ravet, which is in Pimpri-Chinchwad, which is in the Pune metropolitan area.

So, the honest version. Kibiscope is a preschool and daycare platform built by TantraDev Information Technologies LLP, about twenty minutes from Wakad and considerably longer from Kharadi when the expressway disagrees. It is pre-launch. We have no paying schools yet, here or anywhere else, and we will not pretend otherwise on a page whose whole argument is that we are down the road.

Ravet is in PCMC, PCMC is in Pune, and that is one market

Plenty of vendors publish a Pune page and a separate Pimpri-Chinchwad page. We will not, because schools do not work that way. A family in Punawale shortlists centres in Wakad. An owner whose first branch is in Baner opens the second in Chinchwad. Teachers cross the line on the same bus every morning. Two pages would only be one page written twice.

What being here changes is narrower and more useful than the phrase local partner suggests. We are inside your working day rather than a timezone behind it, and when setup needs a person in the room, a person can be in the room.

What a Pune preschool day actually has to survive

The IT corridors set the timetable. In catchments feeding Hinjawadi, Kharadi and Magarpatta, both parents work and commute, so a preschool is really a preschool bolted to a long daycare: dropped at eight, collected at seven, by a parent who cannot take a call from the school at four. The product is shaped around that day rather than around a nine-to-twelve nursery.

Pickup is the other local pressure. The person at the gate is frequently not the parent: a grandparent, a driver, a cab booked from an office in Hinjawadi. Child Safety answers that with verified guardians and an OTP at the gate that proves the handover, plus an incident trail. It is an OTP, not a QR code; we say so because that difference matters when you are the one checking.

Daycare: extended-hours roll call, so a child staying until seven is never simply assumed to have gone home.
Attendance: one-tap check-in in the morning, with the register reconciled at the end of the day.
Daily Reports: meals, naps, mood and moments published to the parent app, so the seven o'clock parent still gets the day.
Transport: routes, stops and who actually boarded, recorded against the run so the front desk can see it rather than ring the driver.
Communication: announcements and direct messages that do not scroll away inside a WhatsApp group of 180 parents.

The Maharashtra bits: GST, the calendar, the rulebook

Our GSTIN begins 27, the Maharashtra state code, because the LLP is registered here. If your school is also in Maharashtra, our supply to you is intra-state, so your bill carries CGST and SGST as two nine per cent lines rather than a single IGST line; a school outside the state gets IGST instead. Either way it is eighteen per cent on top of the per-student price, on its own line. The awkward half most vendors skip: preschool tuition is exempt, and a school making exempt supplies generally cannot set our GST off against anything, so for most preschools it is a cost rather than a credit. Put that to your CA.

On your own side of the ledger, Fees issues GST-ready invoices with gap-free legal numbering, keeps books in whole paise, and records what you have collected in cash, cheque or bank transfer, with dues reminders going out on Monday mornings. It does not collect money. There is no payment gateway and no UPI collection, so fees stay between you and your parents.

The academic year runs April to March, and the platform assumes that rather than an imported autumn term. Curriculum & HPC plans against NCF-2022 and produces Holistic Progress Cards from the plan, which is the observation-based record the Foundational Stage framework asks for. Whatever the entry age at the school your children move on to, the years before it are yours to record — and the Foundational Stage record is the one a parent asks for at admission season. When a parent asks for all of it at admission season, Student 360 is one page: attendance, notes, health, fees, progress.

What local support means when we have not launched yet

This is where a page like this normally claims a Pune support team. We have not launched. There is no support desk, no ticket queue and no customer list, and inventing one would be a peculiar way to begin a relationship about children's records.

What exists instead is that we set your first branch up by hand, and for a school in Pune or PCMC that can mean sitting in your office while we do it. We import your students from whichever spreadsheet they currently live in, build your classes and fee heads, and take your teachers through the app until nobody is nervous. It is a day's work, not a term's project, and your first month is free while it happens. The limit is honest too: this works while we are signing our first handful of founding schools rather than our fiftieth, and it becomes a process as that changes. Early schools get direct access to the people writing the code, and the matching risk of a young product, which you should price in.

One genuinely local detail: the platform's scheduled work runs on IST. Registers initialise at five in the morning, invoices generate at four, dues reminders go at nine on Monday. Nothing lands mid-morning because a batch job elsewhere woke up. The software itself is in English; the conversation about it can be in Marathi, Hindi or English, whichever your front desk would rather. And we hold no security certification, run backups by hand and publish no uptime figure, all of which we list plainly rather than hide.

What it costs, and running branches on both sides of the city

One yearly price sized to your register: ₹9,000 for up to 50 children, ₹15,000 for up to 100, and so on up to 300, plus eighteen per cent GST — or a tenth of that each month, with no minimum term. If you already run more than one centre, Baner and Chinchwad, or Wakad and Kothrud, each branch keeps its own view and HQ gets the roll-up: student numbers, each branch's share of the network, per-branch collections, and a flag when a branch drops below the network average. Access stops at the branch gate: a branch head sees their branch, HQ sees all of them, and roles decide what opens. Underneath that, one school's data cannot reach another school's at all — that boundary is Postgres row-level security in the database itself. The plan is sized on total active students across the network, so a branch is never a separate licence.
