Transport

The boarding record a preschool actually needs, not a map with a moving bus on it.

Preschool transport software is usually sold on one promise: a live map with a bus icon a parent can watch approach. That is a real product, and it is not this one. What most schools need first is smaller and easier to get right — knowing, for certain, who got on the van this morning, so it can be checked against who was marked present in the classroom.

Kibiscope's Transport module carries routes, stops and boarding, visible to the front desk as soon as a run is marked. It is a record built to be read next to the Attendance register, not a tracking product.

Routes, stops and boarding — the record, not the map

A route is set up once, with its stops in order. Each run, boarding is marked against that route — who got on, at which stop — and the front desk can see it as it happens rather than asking the driver at the gate.

That record exists to be compared against something else: the classroom attendance register. A child who boarded the van should also be marked present in class a few minutes later. Reading the two side by side is still the front desk's job today — Transport records the boarding, it does not raise the mismatch for you.

The honest limit: no live map, no GPS, no arrival alert

Plenty of vendors sell a parent-facing map with a moving bus on it, and a notification when the van is two minutes from the stop. Kibiscope does not have that today, and we would rather say so plainly than have a school discover it after signing up.

There is no live GPS tracking, no vehicle location visible to parents, and no arrival alert. What exists is the boarding record described above — enough for the front desk to reconcile a run against the register, not enough to watch the van move across a map.

Why a boarding record matters more than a map, most mornings

A moving dot on a map answers where the van is right now — a question that matters for a few minutes, twice a day. A boarding record answers a question that matters far more often: on a specific morning, did a specific child get on, and did the school know it.

That second question is also the one that comes up in an actual incident — a parent ringing to ask whether their child was on the van, or was not. A record with a name, a stop and a time answers that. A map nobody was watching at the time does not.

Questions schools ask

Does the transport module track the bus live on a map?
No. There is no live GPS map, no vehicle location visible to parents, and no arrival alert. What exists is a boarding record — who got on, at which stop — visible to the front desk. If a live map is the deciding factor for your school, we are the wrong fit for that specific feature today.
How does boarding get marked?
Against the route for that run, at the stop, by whoever is responsible for it — usually a staff member on the vehicle or the front desk at pickup. It is a record made by a person, the same as attendance, not a sensor or a card tap.
Does it check that a child who boarded also reached the classroom?
Not automatically. The boarding record and the classroom attendance register are both there to be read together, and today that comparison is a person's job — usually the front desk — rather than a system alert. We have not built an automatic mismatch flag.
Do parents get notified when the van arrives?
Not as a push notification. Our notification sender is not live yet, so we are not going to describe a ping that does not arrive. Parents can see the boarding record for their own child in the app; that is not the same as a real-time arrival alert.
Is transport a separate module we pay extra for?
No. Transport is one of the eighteen modules included in every plan, from ₹9,000 a year plus GST. There is no add-on price for it and no tier that withholds it.
Can a route be changed mid-term?
Yes — a route's stops are set-up data, not fixed at onboarding, so a school can add a stop or move one as its transport arrangements change.
